The European Hypertension Society invites all professionals to contribute in its coming Congress.

SHMS represented by its General Secretary, Dr. Bader Ali Almustafa participated in the ISH (International Hypertension Society) General Assembly, in Beijing on 22 Sept 2018, in which the ISH Council members were elected. Prof. Neil Poulter handled the ISH presidency to Alta Schutte, ISH President-Elect.

SHMS represented by its General Secretary, Dr. Bader Ali Almustafa participated in the WHL (World Hypertension League) Board of Directors Meeting, in Beijing on 21 Sept 2018.

The is pleased to announce the release of its fourth edition of its guidelines for the management of .

The SHMS Guidelines is made to help all health care providers, in all levels of care, in their care of patients with high blood pressure.

SHMS concluded a 2-days workshop in reading ECG for primary care physicians, in Al--Redha PHC Training Center in Qatif.

Forty physicians have participated actively in its sessions. The training held by 3 trainers, Dr. Bader Almustafa, Dr. Nazieha Almozayen and Dr. Ghadeer Aljishi.

The organizing team has been widened in this workshop to include Dr. Ammar Abu Zuhaira, Mrs. Jenan Aldaroora and Mrs. Manal Al Ibrahim, in addition to the cornerstones Mr. Radwan Almatawa' and Mr. Hasan Al Mudaifa'. The team is working hard to prepare for the next workshop on 28 Jumada-1 1438 (25 Feb 2017).

In collaboration between SHMS and King Saud University KSU, SHMS has carried out a workshop for individuals contributing in the Health Education Campaign, expected to be launched a  week after.
Members from SHMS included Mrs. Aamal Almobarak, Mrs. Manal Hejlis, Mrs. Nawal Aleid, Mrs Thurayya Alfaraj, Mrs. Farha Almarhoon, Dr. Marwa Alfaraj and Mr. Radwan Almatawa'a. Prof. Suleiman Al-Shammari, KSU-Health Education Chair's supervisor and SHMS BoD member coordinated the work with KSU.
More than 40 candidates have been trained and tested for how to measure blod pressure, and how to react to the BP readings.

A collaboration agreement has been signed between SHMS and King Saud University KSU, where SHMS will contribute in the "KSU Health Education Chair" activities among the country.
The agreement has been signed by Dr. Osman Al-Furayh, President of SHMS, and
Dr. Ahmed Al-Aamry, KSU Vice President for Postgraduate studies and Research, in the presence of Prof. Suleiman Al-Shammari, Chair's supervisor and SHMS BoD member.
